![]() Overall, these figures have been a huge blessing and time saver for me! My children enjoy making their timelines and I'm thrilled with the History Through the Ages figures.Advancing technology has been the biggest influence on farming through the history of agriculture. It works for us, but it's a detail you might like to know before purchasing. Homeschool in the Woods does believe in a Young Earth with a literal 7 days of creation, so their timeline figures reflect that. An historian might have passionate views about such things I needed some guideance. When my children and I went to place the first figures in our books, we were a bit stymied - should we put Columbus on the timeline with his birthdate, or when he did his exploration? I had no idea. The pictures themselves are beautifully rendered.īecause I am a "rule follower," I also purchased the Suggested Placement Guide that goes along with the figures. You can also purchase the figures pre-printed on card stock in wall size. The figures are on the CD as both wall and timeline-sized, with a small bit of text summary or without if you'd prefer to write your own. They also have a beautiful timeline book for sale if you'd rather not make your own. In addition, the Homeschool in the Woods website has amazing resources for how to make all kinds of timelines, from one on the wall, to notebooks, to index cards in a file. We haven't been using it for long, but nearly anything you can think of that you might want to put in a timeline is here. I love that they get to put themselves in the timeline and then see how everything else relates. I purchased the complete History Through the Ages set on CD to use in our homeschool this year, and it is fabulous! Making a timeline book with my girls is turning out to be a wonderful supplement to our history studies. Learn how your comment data is processed.
